On our trip to the coast, my brother and I kept running into abandoned trains and railways that I wanted to pull out and show separately. The most exciting place we came across was a long abandoned rail bridge over Coos Bay. Though the tracks looked pretty good, a quick look around at the overall structure of the bridge and it was clear that this bridge was retired. The iron beams could only handle so much salt and moister in the air from the ocean before it started rusting away back to its raw form. I love exploring these "ancient" relics of mankind, though most of our ruins are less than 100 years old.
